How is your art made?

Each piece begins as a photograph I take. Using custom digital brushes and a pressure-sensitive stylus in Photoshop, I paint over the image, adding texture, color, and movement. Once complete, I remove the original photo, leaving the digitally painted artwork.

Canvas prints use archival inks and are hand-stretched over wood bars. Other print and framing options vary by artwork; choose from the options on the product page.

More About This Artwork

Embodying the charisma of a dapper James Bond meets the timeless cool of Frank Sinatra, #13 Papa Hotelier captures Hemingway in an entirely new light. Draped in a tuxedo with a nonchalant cigarette, he exudes an air of mystery and elegance. This piece is steeped in noir, with Hemingway emerging from a black background adorned only by the understated sophistication of The Key West Hotel's logo and the inviting slogan, 'Come Hide.' A touch of gold—a single leaf on his lapel—ties Hemingway to the exclusivity and allure of the hotel, hinting at secrets hidden within its walls. 'Papa Hotelier' is a sleek fusion of literary legacy and modern luxury, a nod to Hemingway’s own bold lifestyle.
